Nairobi - The regulatory crisis surrounding the collapse of a multi-storey building in Eastleigh deepened on Friday, October 23, after eagle-eyed Kenyans discovered that the project registration number cited by the National Construction Authority (NCA) does not return any results on the authority’s own public portal.

In its statement, the NCA confirmed that the project was registered on July 30, 2025, under Land Reference Number 36/II/40, and was assigned project registration number 53128815710410.
