Kiambu - Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has publicly told allies of President William Ruto to abandon their attempts to recruit Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka into the government, insisting the overtures have no chance of succeeding.

The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader said those wooing Kalonzo were dangling the promise of a running mate slot, a claim he found implausible.
